“ I TOTALLY understand why the lines and the wait were so long. This place is phenomenal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and was well worth the wait. The staff was pleasant, our waitress was attentive and answered all of our questions after realizing we were new to the restaurant. The drinks were great and the food was absolutely divine. I ordered the charbroiled oysters and they actually had a sauce on them that made them even more delicious. I also had the seafood lasagna that I cannot begin to describe in words. My brother had the blackened chicken sandwich that one of the locals told him was fabulous and he says it was. We also had the spinach dip which did not have tortilla chips as most restaurants, but instead had FRIED pasta chips which was a great choice. I wish I lived close enough to Lafayette to go to this restaurant at least once a month because there were WAY too many choices on the menu to get in one sitting. Everyone at the conference attended CHIMES at least once during the 3 days because we ALL compared notes and everyone said the SAME THING, it was wonderful. ”
“ Lance was an amazing bartender. He really showed some to notch hospitality to this northerner and helped me geek out on the local beer. The oysters were absolutely delicious!! Next time I'm in town, I will surely stop in for more!!! ”
“ Me and a friend had a dinner date here on 02/22/2025. Everything from the customer service to the food to the atmosphere was excellent! The restaurant was extremely busy and packed when we arrived; however, the staff took care of all the guests who walked in and were waiting in the lobby to be seated. Once we were seated, our waiter, Ethan, was awesome! He tended to our table regularly, and he took our orders accurately. He always had a smile on his face while serving us, and he made sure we were taken care of. Our food was delicious! Everything was freshly ordered and tasteful. I did not care for the shrimp and grits only because the hard shell was left on the shrimp. The restaurant has a nice vibe for a night out with family or friends or even for a date night. Love coming here! ”
“ Our first time. While waiting at the bar, Quincey gave us the whole history of the restaurant as he heard it was our first visit. What a darling young gentleman. Food was delish. Served hot. Atmosphere is on point. Prices are very reasonable. We will return. ”
“ You absolutely can't beat Chimes in Lafayette for a great lunch date. The staff is awesome, and the atmosphere is top notch. Love this place! ”
“ My fiance and I ate at Chimes on February 10,2025. This restaurant was recommended to us from a friend. Soon as we walked in we were greeted and taken to our table. Our waiter was Mathew. He was very polite and attentive. Since this was our first time we asked him what he would recommend and he gave us many choices. I wanted wine but wasn’t sure of the taste and Mathew was able to bring me a sample which i definitely ordered and purchased the wine glasses. Our appetizer and food came out promptly, no long waiting period. The atmosphere was great. I would recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and I will definitely be back. Some food items we ordered are pictured ”
“ Wow! This is a great place to eat. I have nothing negative to say about the food, service, or atmosphere. It was all top of the line. I will definitely be making this a stop any time I am passing through the area. ”
“ This was the 1st Louisiana/Cajun style restaurant we tried when we arrived in Lafayette. We were not disappointed in the slightest. From the moment we walked in, we were seated promptly (during a busy time of the day). Our waitress, Liz, was super friendly and was great with our questions with her kind and knowledgeable personality. The food was absolutely amazing. We loved the outdoor decor and feel of the place. We will definitely be coming back soon. ”
